At Brain Rehab Network (BRN), our credentials are more than just letters. They’re proof of our commitment to achieving measurable, life-changing outcomes for people impacted by brain injury (stroke, TBI, complex concussion).
Yes, we’ve assembled the best team in the field: top-tier occupational, speech, and physical therapists, along with expert neuropsychology, physiatry, and caregivers who work seamlessly together to help produce outstanding results for people every day.
Our mission is to provide the best available care and rehab. After a stroke, TBI, or complex concussion, you need better than the generic or average rehab. General rehab is good for general injuries, but a brain injury is not a general injury. You need (and deserve) a superior, person-centered experience that helps you make progress and drives high-quality outcomes that improve your life.
Credentials help separate the generalists from the specialists. For example, your Primary Care Provider is probably a great PCP, but they are not a Cardiologist. You want a referral to a specialist when you have a specific heart concern. The same goes for rehab providers. Our OTs, PTs, and SLPs are specialists in stroke, TBI, and complex concussion recoveries. Generalists, like your PCP or a regular therapist, can help some. But our team can help you more because we are specialists, and we have the credentials that matter.
When it comes to credentials, we willingly and enthusiastically subject ourselves to rigorous audits, reviews, and oversight. We want to demonstrate to ourselves, the people we serve, the accreditation agencies, and the broader community that we are serious about being our best selves and doing our best work. Earning unprecedented credentials are outside validation, affirming that BRN is built different.
Yes, our awesome people, relentless focus, and commitment to helping each person maximize their recovery matters. But this just affirms that as Oregon’s only CMS-certified Comprehensive Outpatient Rehabilitation Facility (CORF) and the only CARF-accredited provider of outpatient, concussion, and residential programs in the Northwest, we set the standard for excellence.
Don’t confuse the pursuit of excellence with perfect results all the time. As hard as our credentials are to earn, and as hard as we work to provide the best available care and rehab, unfortunately there are NO guarantees. Statistically speaking, our programs give you the best opportunity to maximize your recovery. Notice the key words are “best opportunity,” and not “guarantee” an outcome. We have a lot of success stories, but we also know a lot of people who make progress but due to a variety of factors some people are not satisfied with their results. We get it stroke and TBI recovery outcomes sometime suck. We do guarantee and assure you that our clinical and administrative practices are the best in the industry. As the only brain rehabilitation program in the region to subject ourselves to these high standards, we are in league of our own. Your best chance is with the team of specialists at BRN, not a general clinic.
When it comes to access to care, we work will all insurance companies, including Medicare/Medicaid. We do our part to ensure no one is left behind! At BRN we want to partner with insurers (commercial, workers’ comp, etc) to create shared goals to improve access to medically necessary brain rehab that is designed to:
Survivors and their families deserve to receive customized care and rehab under one roof. This one-stop shop approach leads to faster recovery, improved independence, and a better quality of life. At BRN, we not only navigate the complexities of insurance and financial resources, but also advocate tirelessly for the rehab services you need.
Experiencing a brain injury sucks, it is a life-changing event. Don’t make it harder, get the right care and rehab you need, when you need it. This can make all the difference. With our expert team and proven track record, every person in our programs experiences the person-centered, result-driven care they need and deserve.
Don’t settle for programs who sell brain rehab services, but don’t have the oversight, evidence, science, and credentials to back it up. Give yourself, your patients, or your loved ones, the best opportunity to maximize their recovery. Refer to BRN.
